Ohioans who invest in Ohio small businesses are now eligible for a state income tax credit.
The Department of Development program, dubbed InvestOhio, offers a 10% tax credit for investments up to $1 million that are maintained for at least two years. To qualify, investments must be in businesses with less than $50 million in assets or $10 million in annual sales.
The Department of Development hopes that the program will increase capital to small businesses which will encourage job creation.
